Jean Marc De Angelis, an Aviara Resident, started his career in the hair industry in 1982, two years after completing a degree in business in Marseille, France. He began working for his father's salon where he studied color and styling for two years, followed by his five-year employment in Paris by world famous stylists Jean Marc Maniatis, Jean Louis David and Harlow. Soon afterward he returned to Marseille to partner with his father's business. Under his leadership he created a team of studio stylists who worked on photo shoots and editorials in well respected fashion magazines, including Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan and Harper's Bazaar.
In 1996, stylist to the stars, Jose Eber, offered Jean Marc a position as the artistic director of his Miami based salon in the United States. Excited by the anticipated adventure, Jean Marc accepted, however the location changed to Four Seasons Aviara, where Jean Marc worked for 11 years in 2009, after Jose Eber left the salon, Jean Marc and his wife Michelle decided to open their own salon.
Jean Marc De Angelis opened September 11th, 2009 in the La Costa Towne Center in Carlsbad. To best accommodate their loyal clientele, he constructed a team of highly qualified professionals:
- Richard - Stylist from Jose Eber
- Melody - Colorist from Jose Eber
- Julie - Skin Care Specialist from the Golden Door
Jean Marc's philosophy is simple:
